Character Profile:
Isabella Swan



Isabella Swan was born September 13, 1987 to Charlie Swan and Renee Swan. Bella's parents divorced when she was just six months old, and Renee took her to Phoenix, Arizona. Little is mentioned about her life in Phoenix. However the conclusion can be drawn that she did not fit in well nor was she romantically involved with anyone. She mentions having piano lessons and a few fish. Also she took ballet classes near her home, but gave it up due to the fact that she was very clumsy. She wasn't a stranger to Fork's when she came to live there her junior year in high school. She often visited her father, Charlie, the town sheriff. That's how she met Jacob Black whose father, Billy Black, was Charlie's best friend. She hated the town for it's lack of sunlight and entertainment, but when Renee met Phil Dwyer, a minor league baseball player, Bella moved to Fork's for her mother's happiness. This allowed Renee to travel wherever Phil did during his playing schedule. Upon arriving a Fork's, she began to fall for Edward Cullen who turned out to be a vampire.

Physical appearance and Personality Traits: Bella is described as pale with long brown hair and brown eyes. Her face is heart shaped with a thin nose and narrow pointed jaw. She also has a widow's peak and full lips. She stands at about 5'4" and is between the weight of 110-115 pounds. On her hand is a small crescent scar she obtained from James, a vampire who tried to kill her. Bella is very clumsy and a terrible lair. She loves classic books such as "Wuthering Heights" by Charlotte Bronte and "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare. A little bit on the tom-boyish side, she refers to makeup as "a big pain", and doesn't enjoy dressing up. She can be very stubborn as she has proven with her determination to become a vampire even though Edward has rejected the idea. Her love for Edward is consuming, and at points in the book, it seems like he is the center of her world. However, she has no problem with displeasing Edward if he stands in the way of what she wants (*ahem* Jacob as a friend, though Jacob doesn't feel the same way). All in all, Bella is a very down to earth, sweet, caring person who thinks of others before she thinks of herself( except when it comes to Edward :] ).
